Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor role at Twyford International is an operational leadership position responsible for managing warehouse activities within a large-scale manufacturing environment (Mkuranga Glass Factory). The role ensures that raw materials and finished goods are properly received, stored, tracked, and dispatched in a controlled, efficient, and safe manner.

In practical terms, this is a logistics control role inside a production facility. You are responsible for supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with production and procurement teams, and ensuring that stock movement supports uninterrupted manufacturing operations. A strong focus is placed on discipline, documentation, safety compliance, and inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and products.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of inventory according to procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and audits.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics departments to ensure material availability.
  • Lead and manage warehouse staff, including training and performance supervision.
  • Enforce warehouse safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Prepare inventory and warehouse performance reports for management.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues to prevent disruptions in production and distribution.
  • Ensure all warehouse transactions are properly documented and traceable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse systems and inventory control processes.
  • Leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
