Full Job Description
CRDB Bank is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Relationship Manager – Emerging Corporate based at Tanzania Head Office under the Department of Retail Banking. The role reports to the Senior Manager Business Analysis and offers permanent employment terms.
The successful candidates will be responsible for driving growth of quality assets through loans and liabilities through deposits while cross-selling other bank products and services within their respective business areas. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and negotiating business opportunities to grow the loan portfolio, deposits, interest income, and non-interest income in line with annual targets.
- Following up on sales leads and business pipelines until maturity.
- Supporting business development initiatives by identifying opportunities within assigned zones and developing strategies for business growth.
- Assisting branches in developing and monitoring strategic plans based on local market surveys and customer feedback.
- Reviewing branch performance and implementing corrective measures where performance deviates from targets.
- Supporting branches in mobilizing deposits from asset financing customers and other customer segments.
- Cross-selling all bank products and services to customers.
- Ensuring compliance with approved loan terms and conditions in collaboration with branches.
- Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Acting as the bank’s key contact person for asset financing customers.
- Facilitating establishment and maintenance of active asset financing business clubs.
- Conducting customer engagement activities to improve customer retention and loyalty.
- Providing technical capacity building to BCC members on asset financing lending.
- Creating awareness on the strategic importance of asset financing business within the bank.
- Training customers on asset financing toolkit aspects to strengthen their business management skills.
- Preparing and submitting periodic reports as required by management.
- Providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to newly appointed and underperforming Account Managers to improve performance standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Financial Management, or any related business field.
- Minimum of three years working experience in a similar role or related business activities including lending and deposit mobilization.
- A master’s degree and/or professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services and the ability to sell products based on customer KYC information.
- Good understanding of business sectors, operational environments, industry practices, competitive structures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound decision-making abilities and professional conduct.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to organize and lead stakeholder engagements effectively.
