Marketing Agronomist (3 Positions) at Jubaili Agrotec is a full-time opportunity based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The company is looking for qualified professionals to support agricultural product marketing, provide agronomic technical support, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to business growth across its branch network. The role involves extensive fieldwork, customer engagement, product promotion, and rotational assignments across different company branches.
The successful candidates will work closely with farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, customers, and sales teams to promote agricultural products and modern farming solutions. The position focuses on combining agronomic expertise with marketing and sales support activities to improve product performance and market penetration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies for agricultural products and solutions
- Providing agronomic support and technical guidance to farmers, distributors, and customers
- Conducting field visits, product demonstrations, and farmer training sessions
- Supporting customers and counter sales staff with technical product knowledge
- Building and maintaining relationships with distributors, agro-dealers, farmers, and business partners
- Collecting market intelligence on competitors, customer preferences, pricing trends, and business opportunities
- Collaborating with sales teams to achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Monitoring product performance and preparing stock movement reports
- Supporting promotional campaigns and retail sales initiatives
- Preparing regular field activity and market feedback reports for management
- Rotating across different Jubaili Agrotec branches, with each assignment lasting at least two months
Requirements include:
- Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, Agribusiness, or related field
- Proven experience in agricultural marketing, agronomy, sales support, or field extension services
- Strong knowledge of crops, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and modern farming practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Reporting and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned targets
- Ability to travel extensively
- Flexibility to work in different branch locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
