912 Vacancies Open at MDAs & LGAs Public Service Recruitment Announcement Tanzania 2026
The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as Local Government Authorities (MDAs & LGAs), invites qualified and capable Tanzanian citizens to apply for a total of 912 vacant positions as outlined in this recruitment announcement.
These employment opportunities are offered in accordance with public service recruitment procedures of the United Republic of Tanzania, with the aim of strengthening human resource capacity across government institutions.
General Conditions for Applicants
All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be older than 45 years. However, for positions within Military Institutions, applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age, while applicants for degree-level positions must not exceed 30 years of age.
Applicants with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Such applicants are required to clearly indicate the nature of their disability in the online recruitment system for official records and appropriate consideration by the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
Every applicant must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate, verified by an Advocate or Commissioner for Oaths.
Employees who are currently serving in the Public Service are not eligible to apply for these vacancies. They are required to comply with the instructions provided in Government Circular No. CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates relevant to the applied position. These include certificates for Postgraduate qualifications, Degrees, Advanced Diplomas, Diplomas, or Certificates, as applicable. Professional certificates from respective regulatory or professional boards must also be attached where required.
The following documents will not be accepted under any circumstances: testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form Four or Form Six results slips.
Applicants who obtained their education outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities, including TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET. For applicants from disciplines requiring a GPA and who studied outside the country, a GPA equivalence certificate issued by TCU must be attached.
Applicants who were previously dismissed or retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have obtained special permission from the Chief Secretary.
Any submission of false information or forged qualifications will result in legal action being taken against the applicant.

The deadline for submitting job applications is 28 January 2026. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
