Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Officer Grade II will perform all hospital-based medical duties related to various conditions, including paediatric diseases, obstetric and gynaecological conditions, as well as routine and emergency surgical procedures. The role involves providing and supervising health education and promoting community health improvement at district, regional, or assigned work areas. The officer will be responsible for investigating, monitoring, and preventing disease outbreaks, maintaining and utilizing health statistics in accordance with MTUHA guidelines, and planning and evaluating health services within the assigned jurisdiction.

Additional responsibilities include teaching students and in-service staff at the workplace, supervising and guiding subordinate staff, initiating and conducting research and disseminating findings, developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality of professional services, preparing health service plans and budget estimates, and participating in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree from a university recognized by the Government, have successfully completed an internship, and be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Remuneration:
Salary scale TGHS E.
